North Carolina high school students can earn college credits through a special initiative called Learn and Earn Online.

Qualified students in public high schools can take online college-credit courses in the areas of science, technology, and mathematics at no cost to them or to their families. Students earn both high school and college credit for successfully completed courses. Courses are offered from the University of North Carolina system through UNC-G’s iSchool and from participating NC Community Colleges. Check with your high school counselor for registration dates or to sign up. Use the links at the bottom of this page for more information about iSchool and NC Community College courses.

2010 is the 3rd year courses have been available through Learn and Earn Online. Over 25,000 courses have been taken through Learn and Earn Online by NC high school students while attending their own high schools.

Qualified nonpublic students can take science, technology, and mathematics online college-credit courses for the low cost of fees and textbooks. For registration dates or to sign up check the North Carolina Community College System link at the bottom of this page.
